sup. i'm back.

Changelog

  • Added basic player-selected pronouns and tested it out in dialogue
    • it works, yay
    • three options: he/him, she/her, they/them
    • uses Javascript, so I haven't figured out how to replace the variable value/print with another variable (player name)
  • Added template for randomized dialogue
  • Added a rooftop location
    • this is where players can interact with Umbra and Maroon at the same time
  • Added passive states for supers
    • trying to implement potentiaparesis/lethargiapathy debuffs, but I haven't tested it out yet, so idk if it works
  • Added 20+ items along with flavor text
  • Drew a basic mindmap of what I want the gameplay to be like

Ideas

  • I thought about it some more and don't think random enemy encounters will work if i want to implement time/date feature
  • Researched collisions. realized that I have to edit the symbols on the spritesheets. Seems easy enough.
  • I think manipulating the character generator is possible, just really really tedious, unfortunately. luckily that's a future jessie problem.

To-Do

  • Figure out a main branch/storyline and build from there
  • Implement an in-game tutorial
  • Test out the passive state debuffs
  • Figure out the formulas/variables used in the formulas
